ART
Art was never something either of us actively pursued but it still played a major part in our lives, especially in our pursuits as Nush & Doza.
Nush has been drawing and dabbling in different forms of art for as long as she can remember. She was one of those kids that would constantly make something and gift her creations to her loved ones. She would draw fan art for characters from the books she read, the games she played, and the shows she watched throughout her childhood. She also learned rangoli and henna art and dabbled in embroidery inspired by her Indian heritage. As she grew older, she got into collaging as a way to create vision boards and enjoyed doodling as a stress reliever.
Doza's journey into art started early in his life, even earlier than gaming. You know those Kindergarten projects they used to make the kids do? Yeah, Doza used to excel at those, at least, compared to his peers with a particular affinity for drawing. However, the smooth ride soon came to a stop and he gave up on it all entirely as he was an extremely self-critical 5 year old. Fast forward to high school and the desire to draw would creep up again in the forms of scratchy edgy pen drawings which filled his school planner. However, Doza wouldn’t pick up the pen again for quite some time.
Although we didn't talk about art a whole lot early in our friendship or relationship, it quickly became something we adored doing together. It started with Doza doodling and sending them to Nush on Snapchat whenever they were apart which she also reciprocated with her own art. In fact, it was a doodle from Doza that served as our very first iteration of a Glob, though we didn't know it at the time.
We noticed we both shared a joy in drawing and started incorporating it into our dates by challenging ourselves to draw characters both from memory and with a reference under the pressure of a time limit. While all of this was originally to have fun, it soon became much more than that. Now we draw our Globs to share our passions and story in many ways and it’s continued our journey as artists. From art featuring our Globs, to creating Globs for our Patrons, fan art, commissions and beyond, we're constantly trying to improve our skills!
Commissions
Although we don’t have an official commission process in place, we have been very fortunate to have had requests for commissions over the years. Below are a few samples including some custom Globs. If you are wanting a custom commission project please do not hesitate to Contact Us and provide as many details/specifics as possible. Pricing varies based on the piece.
